The shelter shall provide temporary accommodation, nutrition, personal hygiene facilities and social work specialist services.
The night shelter provides accommodation, dinner and personal hygiene facilities.

1. Service requests
The right to receive a shelter service shall be:
1) persons without a specified place of residence or persons in a crisis situation who have received a statement from a family doctor regarding the state of health of a person, for which reason the person may not be located outside the premises;
2) for persons with signs of use of intoxicating substances - in shelters intended for the customers of the referred to target group.
Persons without a specified place of residence or persons in a crisis situation shall have the right to receive a night shelter service.
2. Receipt of services
In order to receive a shelter or night shelter service, the person shall turn directly to the shelter or night shelter. The list of shelters and night shelters can be consulted on the homepage of the Welfare Department of the Riga City Council in the section “Naked shelters” of www.ld.riga.lv.
