Registration of applications in the ranks and administration of the educational establishments of the municipality of Riga, which implements pre-school education programmes

1. Service requests
If parents want to register their children in the ranks of the education institutions of the municipal city of Riga, which implements the general pre-school education programmes (hereinafter - rows) by filling in an e-service card on the Latvija.lv portal of State Administration Services (hereinafter - portal), they should be able to authorize the portal using the means of authentication available on the portal. The portal shows the minor children of the service applicant. If the service applicant is a guardian, it is necessary to mark the “Patron” feature.
Parents fill out a card on the portal after authorizing, following instructions on the portal. A personal identity document of the parent or the authorised person must be produced during a visit; the authorised person must also produce a certificate of birth or a document certifying the identity of the child and a notarised authorisation. If a child who has been provided with out-of-family care or to whom a guardian has been appointed wishes to register in a row, the decision of the Orphan's Court regarding the extra-family care of the child or the appointment of the guardian shall also be presented. If a child has the right to be admitted to an institution outside the order, a submission of one of the parents or the authorised person thereof shall be required, accompanied by the originals of the supporting documents. For registration in line with the special education programme, an opinion of the Pedagoģiski medical commission shall be submitted to the institution. The registration line shall take place at the relevant pre-school educational establishment.

2. Receipt of services
The customer shall complete the application and register it in accordance with the instructions. The necessary information must be provided on site so that the local government employee can complete the application, check the information entered by the local government employee and certify the veracity of the information entered by the local government employee by signing on to the completed and printed application. A local government employee shall register the application. One child may have 3 applications active. Only the registration of newborns in a row is taking place in Riga city's family list departments, registering the fact of birth of the child. An application erroneously cancelled on the portal is not renewed.
