Re-issue of marriage, birth and death certificates

1. Service requests
A person, his or her legal representative or his or her authorised person may apply to face-to-face upon prior registration in any section of the correspondence in order to receive a marriage, birth or death certificate upon request.
Receipt of services documents required:
1) an application;
2) a personal identification document;
3) an authorised person - a mandate;
4) a document certifying payment of the State fee;
5) upon receipt of a certificate, a personal identification document must be produced

An application, signed with a secure electronic signature, for the re-issue of marriage, birth and death certificates may be sent to the official e-mail address of the correspondence departments.

2. A service charge
In accordance with the provisions of regulation 24.09.2008 of the Cabinet of Ministers, Regulation No 906, Regulations regarding the State fee for the registration of civil status acts, the State fee for the issuance of a re-registration certificate EUR 7.00. The State fee shall be paid prior to the re-registration of the civil status deed in apliecībassaņemšanas.

The State fee shall be released (presenting a document certifying the relevant status):
- a person with an I or II disability group;
- a person who is dependent on the full state or local government;
- a person who has been recognised as poor in accordance with the procedures specified in regulatory enactments;
- children orphaned or without parental care after reaching the age of 24

- a multi-child family if it has at least three children in care, including a foster family

the multilingual standard form for the re-registration certificate for civil status acts is EUR 4.25.
The local government fee shall be paid before the service

A person who requests documents for maintenance shall be released from the payment of the local government fee.
in cases of recovery, in cases of State benefits and pension grants, in cases of adoption, guardianship, custody, former property in cases of denationalisation and rehabilitation of politically repressed persons, a person who has registered in the register of family support of the local government of Riga, as well as a person with Group I and Group II disabilities and a person who, in accordance with the procedures specified in regulatory enactments, poor household status has been granted.

3. Receipt of services
