Medical care for non-farm animals in a helpless state

The Housing and Environment Department of the Riga City Council has entered into a contract with the association “Animal Management Ulubele regarding the transportation of animals suffering from accidents, animals suffering from a sick and helpless state and the provision of medical assistance.
According to the contract, the animal boarding association Ulubele:
1. Ensure the care of animals who are victims of accidents and sick.
2. Organise all day-to-day care of victims of accidents and sick animals, ensuring:
2.1. the departure of the animal catker to the location of the event within the administrative territory of Riga and the delivery of the injured or sick animal to the clinic or the reception of the injured or sick animal, if it has been brought to the clinic by the resident;
2.2. veterinary inspection of the animal;
2.3. the provision of veterinary medical assistance (wound handling, stitching, administration of painkillers, etc.);
2.4. the delivery of the animal to the animal shelter or leaving the animal at the veterinary clinic;
2.5. euthanasia of the animal, if necessary.
