On the basis of the application of the grave-keeper and the permit of the Health Inspectorate, the Housing and Environment Department of the Riga City Council shall issue a permit and perform the exhumation of the remains buried in the grave.
If, as a result of the exhumation, the tomb remains empty, the grave-keeper loses the rights of the housekeeper to this tomb and the contract for the preservation of the tomb is broken.

1. Service requests
The submitter of the submission shall submit an application to the Cemetery Board of the Housing and Environment Department of the Riga City Council. An exhumation order shall be drawn up after receipt of the permit.

3. Receipt of services
The submitter of the application shall receive a decision regarding the permit to perform the exhumation in person or by post, shall draw up an exhumation order after receipt of the permit. The cemetery management shall perform the exhumation.
